Amid the swirling rumors and screenshots involving Anthony Jennings, Maris Racal broke her silence with a heartfelt apology.
In a video statement released by ABS-CBN News on Friday, December 6, the actress apologized to the public and her fans.
“I am sorry that you got to see the very intimate side of me. Ganoon talaga ako kapag nagbigay ng pagmamahal,” she apologized to the public.
She expressed her sadness that people got to see all of it as those screenshots were supposed to be a “private, intimate thing.”
The actress added, “I don’t want to play the victim here. Nagkamali rin talaga ako. I want to say sorry to those people I have hurt.”
Maris also admitted reaching out to Anthony’s ex-girlfriend, Jam Villanueva. However, she did not get a response.
“I am truly sorry to those people who supported me for 10 years. For 10 years, alam nilang lahat na ginapang ko yung career ko… Pinaghirapan ko lahat sa tulong nila,” she said.
However, she assured her fans that she would continue to live and work even though it was a very tough time for her.
“What you saw was not a perfect human being… I am far from being perfect. I am just a human being,” she ended.
Last December 3, Jam released the screenshots of Maris and Anthony’s alleged affair on her Instagram stories.
Meanwhile, Anthony ended the breakup rumors last November 30.
