Taylor Swift Shares Sweet Kiss With Travis Kelce As Couple Celebrate Her Historic Hall Of Fame Honour

Taylor Swift shared a tender kiss with fiancé Travis Kelce as she became the youngest woman ever inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

The 36-year-old singer made history during a star-studded ceremony at the New York Marriott Marquis on Thursday, June 11, with Kelce arriving from Kansas City to support her after completing his Chiefs minicamp commitments.

When filmmaker Steven Spielberg introduced Swift and the room rose to applaud her, she immediately turned towards Kelce.

The singer wrapped her arms around the NFL star before the couple shared a kiss and emotional embrace ahead of her deeply personal speech.

Travis makes it to Taylor’s historic night

Kelce’s appearance followed a demanding week with the Kansas City Chiefs.

The tight end had been required to attend the team’s mandatory minicamp from June 9 through June 11, preventing him from joining Swift at several earlier events.

He missed the Los Angeles premiere of Toy Story 5, where she performed her soundtrack song I Knew It, I Knew You, as well as a duet of You’ve Got a Friend in Me with Randy Newman.

Kelce was also absent when Swift attended Game 4 of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden the following evening.

While she cheered on the New York Knicks alongside friends, the Chiefs star showed his support remotely by liking several photographs and videos of her at the game.

Once his football duties were finished, Kelce travelled to New York and arrived in time to watch Swift receive one of the greatest honours of her career.

Two families celebrate together

The couple were seated beside Swift’s mother, Andrea, and Kelce’s mother, Donna.

Swift’s brother Austin was also present, while her father Scott attended the ceremony and was later thanked from the stage.

The gathering brought together the two families as wedding speculation continues to surround Swift and Kelce.

But on this occasion, attention remained firmly on Swift’s songwriting achievements.

The 14-time Grammy winner wore an elegant black gown featuring floral details, while Donna coordinated in a stylish black outfit.

The group enjoyed dinner, dancing and performances throughout the evening.

Despite the emotion of the ceremony, Swift and Kelce also appeared determined to enjoy themselves.

The couple were filmed dancing and singing during a performance by John Fogerty and his musician sons Shane and Tyler.

Fogerty, 81, performed the 1969 Creedence Clearwater Revival classic Fortunate Son, prompting an enthusiastic reaction from the pair.

Swift playfully stuck out her tongue and nodded her head to the beat while filming part of the performance.

Kelce mimed playing the drums and mouthed the lyrics before Swift leaned over and embraced him.

The relaxed moment gave fans a glimpse of the couple celebrating away from the formal speeches and photographers.

Taylor dances to “Single Ladies”

Swift was also seen singing and moving along to Tamar Braxton’s rendition of Beyoncé’s Single Ladies.

She remained seated at the table with Andrea and Donna as she joined in with the familiar chorus.

The choice of song attracted attention because Swift and Kelce announced their engagement in August 2025.

But the singer appeared focused simply on enjoying the performance with the two mothers beside her.

The evening also included Sombr performing Swift’s songs Cardigan and Dear John, offering a musical tribute to the newest Hall of Fame inductee.

During her approximately 20-minute speech, Swift reflected on the sacrifices her parents and brother made when she was a young songwriter.

She explained that human emotions, passions and motivations had always fascinated her and made songwriting feel like a natural choice.

But while pursuing music may have felt easy for her, Swift acknowledged that it could not have been easy for her family.

Andrea, Scott and Austin left Pennsylvania and moved to Nashville so she could develop her abilities in the centre of the country music industry.

“They uprooted their entire lives to move me to Music City,” Swift said.

She added that although words were supposed to be her speciality, she would never be able to express fully how grateful she was.

The songs that defined her career

For consideration by the Songwriters Hall of Fame, Swift submitted five songs representing different stages of her career.

The selections included Love Story, Blank Space, All Too Well (10 Minute Version), Anti-Hero and The Last Great American Dynasty.

Together, the tracks demonstrated the range that has made her one of the defining songwriters of her generation.

They covered youthful romance, public perception, heartbreak, self-doubt and historical storytelling.
