Sir Epi um talking about journeys, no? You’ve been with Donny and Bell circling back 4 years ago for this movie. An inconvenient love. An inconvenient love. Yeah. Ba ano ba yyung nakita niyong growth this time or difference sa kanila ngayong nakasama sila for this movie? Actually, for this film? Parang late hindi naman late camera pero you were started.
They started production already when I joined ‘ ba. Parang parang ganon ‘ ba? Parang well actually dumating ako sa set thinking na okay ang character ko will be okay ano to romcom romcom and then I was doing the scenes okay so mga unang scenes ganyan but eventually nung as we go alongung araw na iyon yung first day ko ba parang ang heavy nitong materyal medyo may heavy kasi hindi siya yung ine-expect ko na Don Bell film na 4 years ago na ginawa ko.
So, so on on the side si Bell at saka si Don nakikita ko talagang they they talk to me about their roles ah parang mabigat yung ano ah and then eventually na-realize ko mabigat talaga may may lalim yung materyal malalim yung materyal at um ayoko na ayoko na magkwento kasi baka makwento ko yung ano eh mga hindi dapat eh office tayo mamaya kasi sabi ko lang ano um it’s it’s a good Dir, it’s a good film for um for yung 7 years na pinagdaanan nung Donbell Love Team.
This is a good um peak peak nung Don Bell. That’s what I can say. And um this two of course given the guidance of Dirk Kathy, I I believe they’re giving it 110% each time they are in front of that camera. And I know that because even on the even on the sideline nawala yung kulit n dalawa mas ano sila mas on point sila with everything that they do and um and again with the with with Cathy’s process yyung squeezing squeezing them out lalabas talaga iyung yung iyung iyung peak nung Don Bell at least nung nung yung love team na yan dito sa
pelikulang to. That’s for this film. No, may sinasabi ka Dirk parang kincontra kasi hindi kasi kasi po may madaldal ditong bata. Direct nagtanong po kasi si O ayan kasi kwento mo nagtanong po si sir Epie kung anong story. Syempre ako wala akong k hindi naman yung nasasabi ko sinasabi koung mga eksena natin.
Hindi kung bakit niyo nga na-sense na mabigat siya. remember ko hindi tapos tumatakbo na siya sa akin direk-direk na sabi ko ba’tan mo sinabi nagtanong po. Oo kasi ang bait mo talaga. Oo. Lahat po ng cast there is something in the film um that is not worth telling it to you now. M that only Van, Don Bell and I. No.
May is nakalusot si Epi. Not even Joros and the rest. No. Alamad knows. Tapos ko pa sinabi eh nagtanong po eh direct ako alam kong mabigat talaga. May mga scenes na hindi nila alam yung ano, hindi nila alam yung nangyayari maski sila. So may mga ganon. So marami kayo talagang i-expect sa pelikulang to dahil ako nagugulat ako biglang ah iba ang script mo ha.

Iba yung script niya. ibaung ko magtion lahat kami hindi namin nangyari pero kasi yun ng exhin galing pa kaming sagadang kanina kanina kanina lang i think yung huling bes namin magkita 2 ng umaga sa taas ng sea of clouds at um ang ganda ng eksena namin niy and i will tell you abangan niyo yan basta yung eksena na yon napaganda r padulas na pero wala akong sinabia ganda nags namin
ngayon alam na natin kung anong aabangan na isa sa mga big scenes doon sa pelikula that’s a g ito may may maganda rin kaming scene ano so I’m just really privileged to be working with these guys kasi I in a way I’ve seen I’ve seen their growth no so hindi lang hindi hindi constant but I I was I was part of a film na ginawa namin 4 years ago and I’m really honored to be part of this film of course under DKI’s um leadership no thank you thank Thank you.

Hindi ah as always naman ah susurpresahin namin kayo at ganun si Dirk talaga katulad nga ng nabanggit nila ano is technique yun eh minsan yung iba yung ipapabasa sayo para kita sa reakson mo madadaya kasi gulat ka iba yung sinasabi yun yung hinuhuli ni Dirk. Minsan nga iba-iba yung script mo. Ako tawag ko si Legolas Gandal.
Ibang script pala. Ibang joke lang. Hindi Lord of Drinks. Iba iba pala yon. Hindi. Pero yun yun ang maganda rito na laging binabanggit ni Don kanina yung totoo. Ang mapapanood mo totoo. At makaka-relate ka kasi ramdam mong totoo eh. Dahil kung hindi mo ramdam, peke totoo. Totoo naman. Ito ito. Totoo yung tatanong ko sayo ha.
Before we move on to um our cast ‘di ba um pinag-usapan namin ni Emilio kanina na kasi if you look at the filmography of Choros Gamboa, part siya mga highest grossing films ‘ ba. Do you feel any pressure right now? Ah karamihan doon si Dirk Cung kasama ko. So ayon saka hindi ako naniniwala sa lock. Malas ‘yon.

Sino ba talaga kuya Joros kasi um ako po I’ll be playing the role of Tina very sassy and very supportive friend, workmate and housemate of Cisco and Chesca na very straightforward din sa mga nangyayari sa mga buhay nila. Super happy pwedeng sumingit ng konti kay Mia. Yes. Yes. I don’t know her kasi. Mm. Like I don’t know her. Sabi nila Mia Kanton sa sino yan? Magaling. Magaling daw po. Yung hindi na nga-outshine, hindi umeps doon sa eksena. Ginagawa ‘yung trabaho niya ng nasa likod siya. And ako the fact na mapansin kita sa likod, ibig sabihin gumagawa ka ng tama. Syempre it’s an honor to ano be part of star another star cinema movie lalo na directed by Direct Cathy and syempre along starring Don Bell. Um and dito sa movie na ito, I play the role of Shane. He is the colleague of or officemate of Cisco and Chesca.
And um I guess he ends up having a rivalry with Cisco in terms of in work and also in uh romance. Oh. Oh, interesting. Okay, looking forward to that. Emilio, how about you? From what I heard, um, he was called parang biglaan sa set. Medyo Oo. As in nasa gym lang ako. T’s tapos na ako mag-gym. Legit, this was like I think 9:00 a.m.
And then tinawagan ako ng star cinema. Uy, Emilio, free ka ba ngayon? May taping kay Donny and Bell with Direct Cathy. Sabi ko, “Okay, I’m there na. 5 minutes lang.” So legit, naligo lang ako and then diretso na ako sa set kasi syempre it’s been a dream of mind to be part of a Star Cinema film especially with Derek Cathy and now starring Doni and Bell.
So buti nga naligo pa. Buti oo buti nga naligo pa ako e. Oo k iba dire-diretso na kasi sobrang excitement. But okay, in this movie I play um Muki. So he is the college best friend of Donny and we start a business together and makikita niyo kung gaano ka-successful iun. Oh, interesting. Interesting.
Okay, now we move on to the question of of Carie of Zane. Um, for Donny and Bell, before tayo sa wakas, you two were already doing project separately. What made you decide to make the specific film as your last one together for now, how did you know that it’s time to pursue and prioritize your solo careers, Bell? Okay. Ako muna.
Um, I mean before entering the love team naman, um, I always had sabi ko I want to be a great I want to be a good actress. Yun naman talaga. And Donnie and I have been vocal about it naman na we just don’t want to be Don. We also want to be Donny and Belle. So I feel like this project is the perfect project for it since it shows so much growth and maturity and it required so much authenticity from the both of us.
So and also plus given direct Cathy and also iyung material syempre ang ganda ganda talaga. Yeah. Like we mentioned it’s not something that we just thought of overnight. Si Bell kasi isa sa mga kakampi ko dito syempre sa Showbiz and we’re very very open with each other. So I think it just had to get to a point where tama yung material para sa ganitong klaseng transition.
Um yeah, so we would talk about it you know project after project. Kailan kaya tayo magkakaroon ng um ganitong klaseng transition or phase to a different um direction or when will we pause? Yung ganon. And when we were presented this material, syempre parang nag-meet lang kami. Sabi namin sa isa’t isa, “I think this is the best time.
” Kasi it’s very timely. Um, and it’s also one that will showcase, you know, different sides of us. Like I said, it’s a mixture of all our characters and more. So, parang it just felt like the right time. And of course, parang ganon ‘ ba. Lahat talaga sumakto. Yeah. Timing, creatives, story and cast. Okay.
We got We got a lot of questions. Um pero I think the time parang ubos na. So we got a couple of more na itatanong para sa cast natin creatives. And this is for everyone. Everyone, anyone who wants to answer could. The question is mukhang maraming temang tinatak ang pelikulang ito pero easily nababasa na tungkol sa magkaibigang prior ah tungkol sa magkaibang priority sa buhay.
Problema na ba ito ng young couples ngayon? Young couples. Zoros. Hindi na nga ako sasagot eh kasi yang eh. Huwag ka na ring sumagot. Dirong sasagot. Dir ako sasagot. Ah okay. Is it uh is it? Ay hindi diretso ko lang. Emilio. Emilio. Sige. Um masyado bang driven itong generation ngayon na yung relationship ko you know the back seat muna.
I think sa pelikulang ito, well, based on young couples now, I think makakarelate talaga yung mga genzy ngayon kasi syempre parang may push and pull between love, career, prioritizing yourself. So I think madaming matututunan at mga viewers and lahat ng mga manonood ng film about themselves, their partners, their future partners, their career.
So I’m super excited for them to see that. And it’s not just about the the generation now, no? Lahat tayo pinagdaanan yan. Ano ba pipiliin natin? Yung ah yung mahal ko o ‘yung pangarap ko sa buhay? Ano bang uunahin ko? Kasi minsan hindi sumasakto ‘yan eh. at minsan nag-aaway ‘yan. At ‘yun ang I think isa sa mga tema na tatalakayin sa ating pelikula no’.
Um ito medyo juicy ito. To all better has. Would you give up something for your better half? Okay. Better hales. Joros ako. Would you give up something for your better half? Ah una hindi ko nakikita yung relationship namin ng asawa kong half half. Mm. We are one and it stays like that. At sa akin binigay ko na sa kanya lahat by loving my Lord Jesus Christ.
Kasi sa mundong ito yun yung problema natin eh. Ano ba yung priorities in life? Like for me, it’s God, my wife, my children and then everything else. So yun, kapag alam mo na yung ah dapat mo i-prioritize sa buhay mo, ah everything follows. Kasi kaya nagustuhan ko ong ano yung palabas na to kasi talagang maraming makaka-relate na kailangan kasi share ko lang din ha, bro.
Biglaan lang din yung ano yung tinawagan ako. Akala ko automatic eh. Oo. Hindi yung tinawagan ako ng Star Cinema ah. I was feeding the poor that time. Okay. So pinapakain ko kasi n yung sarili ko dahil ano. Then yung tumawag uy work priority to. Wala ng makain pamilya ko eh. Ayun lang kasi para matawa si kuya ako yung would you give something up for your your better half.
Ako minsan ‘yung half ko iniiwan ko ‘ag full moon. Iba ‘yun. Iba ‘yun. Lumilipad ‘yung kalahating katawan pag full moon. Hay naku. Now you see the cast that we have ‘di ba? Ang saya-saya to have this family in the set. And I think yun yan din yung mararamdaman natin. And more lalong-lalo na iyung heartfelt um passion nilang dalawa and heart aches in this film. Tayo sa wakas.
We got this last question and goes to everyone as well. Uh sa mga nakakatanda ng kaunti sa ating panel, I read that verbative, no? Okay. What would be the best advice you would give to young people about keeping relationships alive and healthy? What would be the best advice you would give to young people about relationships or keeping relationships alive and healthy? Direct.
This film, this is my best advice to all the young people out there. Watch it. Okay. And with that, I think we’re done. Uy, grabe naman. Ba’t sila rin pasagutin mo? Ah okay okay okay. Hindi mga matured. Ako nag-pink jacket ako para hindi ako sumagot ng mga ganito. Mature. Hindi hindi.
Ang ibig lang namin sabihin mga naka-pink. Ah ano yung tanong ha? Yung question is what would be the best advice you would give to young people about keeping relationships alive and healthy? Uh relationship is about giving. The greatest secret in love and in life is giving. Kapag papasok ka sa isang relationship hindi dapat you complete me.
Kailangan kumpleto ka na at overflowing ka na. Oh, so that’s it. Love is about giving. So ala mo pwede kang magtrabaho sa mga Hallmark cards. Ah ayun doon ako napadaan eh. Meron pa pala doun sa ano. Ang dami mong makakasabihan na saktong-sakto talaga tungkol sa Yun lang naman yung mga natututunan natin sa at i-apply lang natin sa mga kabataan at sa lahat ng yan yung mga nandito yan yung mga naka-braces.
Karamihan diyan yung mga matatanda naka-braces nagbabata-bataan. So para sa inyong lahat onong pelikulang ito kaya panoorin po ninyo grabe naman. Hay naku salamat talaga. I get I guess we got more questions coming in. May pahabol si Patrick of Business Mirror for Don Bill stepping down from the love team narrative for now.
I can’t emphasize that more. What are the type of projects you are most excited about? Would there be a genra shift similar to what Donny did with Roja or anything that you’re looking forward to? Naku, ang dami pa. Ang dami ko pang gustong ma-try. Basta good material, I’m all for it. That That’s an actress talaga. Yeah.
Ang dami ko pa ring gustong ma-try. But I think the best thing here is that I don’t know talaga what’s next. And I think it’s okay to to not know. Yeah. Mhm. Yeah. May mga dream projects pa ba kayo na gustong gawin or dami? Ginawa. Marami pa. Pero ito muna tayo. Saan tayo? Sa wakas. Okay. Dito muna tayo sa wakas. Sa wakas. Saan tayo? Sa wakas.
Okay, Rachel Siazon has a question for Dirk Cathy. As a box office director who have mentored a lot of popular love teams, what is the one thing that you want them to take away or learn from you after you have worked with them? Dami ng dumaan sa inyo. Direct talaga. Yeah. Well, hindi about sa kwento. But um I make sure kasi in of my sets that we become a family.
Ah that yyung sabi nga ni Donnie, I tried I always tried to gain their trust and maintain that trust uh even after work. Um that nothing you know ewan ko ano kasi I don’t work with them as only their director. I normally become their mother, their sister. Ninang put traagis ka talaga. Naging ninang ninang ka na anak ko ng panganay ko now.
But yes um it’s a relationship whenever I direct so take away wala. Let’s just continue to love our craft and um love each other. Ayoko ng mga taping friends, shooting friends na pagtas pelikula wala na. Kaya susunod kami sa New Zealand. Yan. Galing no? Hindi lang siya transactional. There’s really a relationship when you work with Dirk Cathy Garcia and of course the people in her set as well.
Okay, last question finally. coming from Josiah Antonio, Philippine star and this goes to Donny and Bell. Okay, fitting last question for our Q&A. As you part ways for now, do you have any message for each other and what do you look forward to doing after this film? Well, I know that we may not be working with each other in the near future.
But um I’ll always be here and sobrang proud lang ako sayo. And if they ask everyone here you know Kuya EP first iyung inconvenient love Miss Vanner first series but I’ve really seen you grow since day one since we’ve met and I will always look up to you not figuratively but literally literally pala figuratively but in general I’m just so so blessed that I got to spend these last years with you. Yeah.
